My 1917 came with 30's style service stocks and was uncomfortable to shoot. Targets were an options but hid the military heritage. A set of postwar diamond Magna's made it comfortable to shoot but the fit at the butt was horrible. In May I ordered a set of prewar elk stags from Grashorn and they arrive a few days ago, problem solved.

Magna stocks are good. Adding a grip adapter makes them better!

And Service stocks with an adapter work very well also.

I agree! Ken is a true craftsman.
That reminds me, it's about time for another game of musical grips for all my guns...I don't even get to see all my Smiths at once except a couple of times a year at gun shows...I'll have an opportunity at the Conroe show weekend after next, so maybe I'll choose some candidates for these strays I picked up......Ben

So that's where they all went! You beat me on a couple by mere minutes or even seconds!
