I was looking at the Dan Wesson 1911 style 10mm. I'ts not quite as beefy as 1006 but it is packed with custom features. I'm afraid that I'll have to save a few more bucks before I can take it home. They are running about $ 1100.00 in my neck o the woods. Is it true that Dan Wesson is the same as CZ ? I have two 1911's in .45 , A Smith & Wesson and a Springfield GI. Love them both.
CZ owns DW. I am a proud owner of one of their Classic Bobtail's in 10mm. Great pistol. I still need to get a 1006 -- they are built like tanks. I just never seem to be able to find one when I have cash.
