I have an affinity for short barrel K Frames. I didn't have a model 12, but recently I was able to acquire a nickel, 2 inch, Model 12-2 "Airweight" from a fellow Forum member. It's in nice condition and of 1968 vintage. It came with a set of Pachmayr Compac grips in deference to the fact that the grip frame on pre -4's are narrower than the "regular" RB K frame. The grips display (1/32"?) gaps on both sides between the grip and frame at the horn.
I was also fortunate enough to acquire a really nice set of actual Model 12 RB grips from another Forum member. I don't believe they are correct for a -2, but I really like the diamond magnas and model 12 grips are so hard to find.
