New to me 1968 2 1/2" nickel 19-2

I didn't have a 2 1/2" gun. Closest thing is a 3" 24-3. This one is pretty nice for a 1968 gun. No box or papers.

The grips that it's wearing came from a 1966 19-2 (I found them on eBay). The other pair in the 3rd photo came on the gun. I think they are from a newer gun? Silver washers.

I think these are a little less common than some?

blackduece, very nice Model 19-2 and I bet you will like it. I like the grips but I put S&W Combat grips on mine after a range trip with the small factory magnas. Now—-I bought the S&W Combats, NIB, for $35.00, in 1980 so it’s been a while.

The pair that are on the gun have the 1966 serial number. The guy that sold them still owns the gun. He put combat grips on it.

The other pair does not have a serial number.

Nice! I'd love to find combat grips like that. $150 would be a smoking deal today.

Congratulations, that's a nice find! And those snubbies are fun to shoot, too. I have one that's a little younger than yours...a minty Model 19-4 from 1978. But it's still P&R, so I'm happy. Enjoy!
