New to me 1968 2 1/2" nickel 19-2

I didn't have a 2 1/2" gun. Closest thing is a 3" 24-3. This one is pretty nice for a 1968 gun. No box or papers.

The grips that it's wearing came from a 1966 19-2 (I found them on eBay). The other pair in the 3rd photo came on the gun. I think they are from a newer gun? Silver washers.

I think these are a little less common than some?

So neither pair of those grips have the serial number on the inside?

blackduece, very nice Model 19-2 and I bet you will like it. I like the grips but I put S&W Combat grips on mine after a range trip with the small factory magnas. Now—-I bought the S&W Combats, NIB, for $35.00, in 1980 so it’s been a while.

Nice! I'd love to find combat grips like that. $150 would be a smoking deal today.
