I picked up a new to me model 25 - 7 .45 Colt 5 inch super pleased with it although I'll probably send it off for a refinish. Some previous owner added the Millet rear sight and I'm debating a red ramp front because the White outline Millet doesn't look right to my old eyes without a red front.

I have one of these and IMHO its the best .45 Colt revolver S&W ever made. You're gonna love it! :D
The finish on these was a dull blue from the factory. Leave it alone and just enjoy it. ;)
The bead blasted blue isn't too bad but the laser engraved markings are very dulled out . Performance center said they'll re do them with a re-finish. Already got some Keith 255 LSWC's from Missouri Bullets coming. This is my first .45 Colt Revolver.

For whatever reasons, I seem to shoot my 5" 625 "model of 1989" more accurately than any gun I own.

I really love shooting 45 ACP out of that revolver!

I had a -9, but sold it to fellow forum member. Not a fan of the matte finish.

And that fellow forum member thanks you again.

I like the 5” but prefer fluted cylinder.
I’ve got 3 of the 4” M25’s in the Colt flavor. 2 -5’s (1 N prefix and 1 alpha numeric) and a -9.
Some earlier -5’s reportedly had large throats that were corrected in later versions, but these all pin gauge .452
I’d like to have a -7 to go along.

25-7 has been on my want list for quite a while! Love the cylinder and finish treatment. As close as I got was a 25-15. One of my favorites. Bob

I had this -7, but finally found my grail gun (625-6 45Colt, non-MIM) and sent this beauty down the road.

I love the stags and I wish the finish on mine was as sharp as yours.I put some Culinas on it.

I concur with Nightowl regarding refinishing that piece.
