Just got my hands on late 4013 (1999 per SW) reportedly 1 of approx 150 provided to Colorado Dept of Public Safety for evaluation (VKN9517-VKN9672) before they ultimately went with 4006. Often confused with Lew Horton 4013 Two Tone same VKN S/N Sequence sold circa 2001 which may be overruns or ???

Supposedly someone out there already has a Roy Jinks letter on these - I will probably break down and get a Letter myself as it appears to be unique - interested in any more info.

FYI - picture of 4006 CSP went with in lieu of 4013 and picture of Lew Horton 4013 without CSP logo - wondering if Lew Hortons were Decock Only like the Colorado Dept of Public Safety Evaluation Units

If this is the one that was on Gunbroker a week or two ago, that's a neat pistol.

I think my favorite "issue" logo/emblem is probably the California State Parks 4006 pistols with the walking bear. Just love that logo but EVERY one of those issued 4006 pistols had the ugly adjustable rear sight. (with apologies to brother JohnHL ;) )

That shop is about 5 miles from my house, about 30 minutes during rush hour. :)

Fine people own that place, very professional.

Answered my own question as to Lew Horton 4013 two tones by researching old threads. The Lew Horton 4013 two tones were Decock Only just like the approx 150 4013's provided to Colorado Dept of Public Safety. They shared the VKN s/n prefix. And there were 57 surplus pistols (overrun or ???) sold through Lew Horton - but it was not a Lew Horton Special.
