My new to me Smith & Wesson 629-4 6 inch range target at 7 yards. This gun has had an action job at some point in it's history. The single action trigger pull is SUPER LIGHT and very crisp! You could almost breath on it and it will fire. This makes it accurate as all get out! Here's my 7 yard test target with 6 rounds of Hornady 240 grain XTP ammo. I dished out a grand for this revolver and the action job and the apparent lack of much shooting it is a good thing, I guess.

The dash 4 variant of the 629 was the best 44 mag the factory offered at the time. All forged parts ( 'cept for the cylinder release latch ), top strap drilled and tapped for a scope addition & they finally addressed the cylinder throat size making for a much more accurate gun. My 6 1/2" dash 4 Classic's trigger is similar to yours with a 2 1/2 lb sa trigger. All you do is think about the target when you're on it and it goes bang. So it seems you're enjoying yor latest! Great to hear. Run that target out to 25 yds if your eyes will let you. Bet you'll be wearing a big grin!! :D
Take some dirty nasty gun pics too. We like those!

That's a beauty of a 629, very nice. I'll bet it put a smile on your face when you fired it.

Good shooting, double or single action? Also, you made a typo, I'm sure you meant to type 70 yards.

Man, that's great shooting at 25 yards!

Nice gun WT. Half lug Smiths seem to balance so much BETTER than the

full lug classick ones.. l have both, but prefer the ORIGINAL Smith look and FEEL
