New to me 65-2!

Gents - I've joined the 3" club, so to speak! Picked this up locally, seems to be in very good condition, it had the original grips on it, but I swapped to the Altamonts that I had on a shelf here. Definitely wasn't looking, as I've burned too much "fun money" lately on other "must haves". It had been posted on a local forum, I noticed it and thought I'd never seen one in person, since my Dad carried one years ago. I waited a few weeks for the "gnawing at me" feeling to pass....which it didn't! It seems very well balanced with the newer grips, is very tight and has a great trigger. Can't wait to take it to the range and track down a holster for this barrel length. Thanks, Bill in MA

This is my SAPD issued in 4 Inch and really depended on it. The Model 65 is a great gun.

Welcome to the three inch club. You will love it. Great carry gun. Treat it to a nice holster (I'm a Kramer fan). Mine went back to the factory for the highly recommended "combat revolver package". 4 inch was my duty gun before they switched to Sig 9mm. We were allowed to buy the 65s for $100. We carried Remington 125gr. JHP. I had mine done over by my gunsmith in the same style as the factory combat package.
