Hello all, just took receipt of this beautiful 19-3 this evening. Scored it on one of the big online auction sites.

This my first personal pinned and recessed model, though I have many post-P&R models in the collection as well and have enjoyed my father's older guns throughout my life.

I am truly surprised at how clean and well kept this pistol is! I have never picked up a Smith with everything still in the box either except new production.

If anyone can check for me, I would be really appreciative to find out the approximate age: 2K42689.

I'll shut up now so you can enjoy the pics!

Wow, you got a nice'un! The whole package, and looks pristine to boot!
My quick reference on the date is: 2K22,038 – 2K55,996....1971

Enjoy!

Very nice! You are now permanently spoiled if you expect all your future purchases to look the same, or better ;).

Next, the "do I shoot it" dilemma. Enjoy!

Thank you sir! I appreciate you looking for me.

Thank you everyone else as well, I was very pleased with it when I went to my FFL to pick it up. The pictures online weren't so great, so I trusted when they said the condition was excellent. Glad I did!

Lawman90, congrats it looks like ya got the entire package. Great looking stocks on that guy. I hope you are planning on shooting it from time to time.

Absolutely! My safe is too cramped to keep anything in there that I wouldn't shoot. :)
