Writes historically based fiction in the WW2 Naval and seagoing genre, at least that's what I have read so far. If this is your cup of tea, I think you'll like him. Enough books to keep you occupied for a while.

He has been writing WWII and I think some WW1 naval fiction before I can to the USA in 1968 from the UK.

I would also suggest Alexander Kent (Napoleonic wars) and Douglas Pope (also Napoleonic Wars) much more realistic than others dealing with the same time frame, and of course, cannot miss the Hornblower Series, probably the best of the best. Dave_n

Douglas Reeman and Alexander Kent are one in the same. In other words, Reeman used Kent as a name he wrote under.

Douglas Reeman was a favorite of mine growing up in the 1970s.

He also has series on the Royal Marines.

As noted above he wrote under the pen name Alexander Kent as well and his Richard Bolitho novels are a good read as well if you like wooden ship naval stories.

Discovered him while stationed in Bermuda in the 1980s. Not sure how many books he has written, but found a few on B&N.com that I had not see before. Still good today.
