New to me, but old .38 derrenger

I picked this up cheap enough. Made in Germany by a company this is ROHM. Anyway the scew is stripped and rusted on the grips. Some help please on how to get them out without damaging the plastic grips. I don't have another set so I don't want to break them. I am also looking for a newer set of grips. Gun shoots well is back up to my S&W Model 14-4 (4inch barrel and is nickel.
