Hi,
oh what a fun gun to shoot. Finally in my hands, second range visit for breaks in. I am sticking to the book not going crazy between cleanings but I wish I could keep going and going. Feels good, points great, perfect weight distribution with the bull barrel. Exactly what I expected happened: The gun cycles a bit faster than a 5'' with target 9mm loads and has almost no recoil. I used an indoor lane and had trouble seeing the sights well enough. The figure 8 rear sight takes a little getting used to but with all the effort I shot a good group at 20 yards. Tried some drills as well and loving it. It's addictive, tight fitted, smooth and the best trigger I have ever felt among 1911s. Glad I have it. I retired the 2 tone smooth grips for a set of Pau Ferro Woodcalibers and got a 1791 holster that I also really like...what a nice weekend.
