strange things happen, back in the early 1970s I had to have a P 08 Luger and looked for a long time before i found one and in 2 weeks i had 3 of them. Today the above grips was delivered ( been looking for a set for years ) and just now bought my second set new to me from e bay. go figure.

Are they these grips? I wanted bid on them, but I passed because it is always too expensive to import stuff from US....
Already purchased several ones, but when they arrived to our customer office , PITA.....

Isn't that always the way it happens! Feast or famine.

That happens to me as well.

those look slightly different, if Fitz theywill be marked on the bottom of the grip. Mine were made in the 1960s I believe.

tried them on another N frame

Well I dug out my 1950 Target to just see what the Fitz grips would feel like, now I don't think I can get them off. Every time I try to loosen the grip screw a voice in my head screams No, No.
any opinions?

OMG, I'm an idiot! I posted the Herrett's pics..... as we say, mi sono bevuto il cervello ! (I drunk my brain) . I have almost three sets of Fitz , both for Smiths and Colts.
Il love Fitz grips

I have a set of those wooden FITZ grips. They are sized for a K frame and "branded" with the Fitz script-like logo on the bottom. One additional difference is that they have the unusual basket weave style checkering. I had them on my 1948 vintage K22 for a while, but they're currently sitting forlorn in my gun room waiting for their next assignment.

Froggie

If I had a set laying around I would be looking for a early K frame with a 8 & 3/8' barrel maybe a model 48. If you decide to part with them I could be interested but I don't own any K frames right now, just some colts and Smith N frames.

Second set of wood Fitz arrived today

Here is a couple of pics of the set that arrived today I think they found a new home.

Me too! I looked for several years for a nice 3-inch 66, like I could have easily bought new when they were readily available. Within two weeks I bought two, and could have bought four. So it goes... ;)

Nice grips, OP. Glad you found some replacements. It's great to finally latch on to something you really want after looking "a while." :)

target gripd

Have a bunch of them, just won an action for yet another at $18. Used to be just one or two listed a week, lately many of them showing up.
I sand of the irritating checkerboard off, some I stain, some get coated. Use them on small caliber minimal recoil distance target shooting.

Me too, I collect thumb rest grips: these are not Fitz, but probably Jay Scott
