new to Smiths

Hey guys, I am new to Smith & Wesson and have just picked up a 686 no dash 4".I would like to find out what reference material you guys have found to be best. Is there a book you could not live without? Thanks

In my opinion, the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson is a must have.

JCS&W identified it. Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson 3Rd Edition by Jim Supica and Richard Nahas. There are also several by Roy Jinks, the S&W Historian: Smith & Wesson 1857 - 1945 by Neal & Jinks, and the history of Smith & Wesson by Roy Jinks.
