Hello All; i just bought a m&P 15-22 from gander the other day. Its been way to cold here to shoot it yet but of course i did the cleaning and i put a red dot scope on it. My question is about the warranty. Gander gave me a lifetime warranty, is this unusual or is it a Gander standard? The serial # is DTHXXXX.I cant wait to try this puppy out. thanks in advance, pghrich

I got a DTH.... put 11k rounds of Fed Val Pack thru it and still smokin. Should have 11.5k by the end of today. S&W will stand by your rifle regardless.

Gander Mtn. offered a lifetime warranty on the rifle because Smith & Wesson warranties the rifle for life. If you take it to Gander Mtn. all they will do is ship it to S&W as you would if you have a problem. They are a middle man. You'd come out better if you have a problem to just contact S&W direct on your own.

Welcome to the forum. :)

Thank you everyone

ya, we know we are the coolest mall ninjas around lol:D

I got my 15-22 from Gander Mountain also. They indicated on the sales slip a lifetime warranty. But my owners manual says a one year warranty on the 15-22.

My 15-22 had the extractor do the escape trick within a week of owning it. Took it to GM. They ordered parts. Parts came in but were the wrong ones. So by then they had more 15-22s in stock and pulled new parts from a gun in inventory to fix mine. The gun worked fine....till the new extractor went missing. That time I just sent it to S&W for repair. Got it updated to current specs and two new mags for my dispair. :D

Yes it does. I've learned things from Forum regulars like BeltFed, Thomas, Beck27, Chuck Vitamin, Maniac, and others. Great folks, everyone here.

Feel free to share your opinion and experiences with the 15-22 and accessories, both good and bad. You can even hurl yo-mamma jokes at folks here all in good fun.... but BE WARNED: Tread lightly on any critical opinion you may have of electrical tape, PVC Sched 40, Crayon, Chevy rubber shock buffers, glue and spray paint. These are items are of sacred status to us Mall Ninjas.

Welcome

Excuse me, Brett. But I don't remember giving you rights to publish my pic. It was a bad hair day.... and my Tactispoon was in the wash.
