I had the guy at my range put in my new Apex Poly trigger today into my FS9 (after about 2500 rounds with the stock trigger). I really like the feel. The smooth edges and totally consistent pull felt great. Without doing any other work yet (still might) I'd say it felt a little heavier than the original, but was so smooth and consistent, I think that I will probably be putting one in my compact too. My shooting wasn't any better (I had 5-6 inch groups at 7 yards before and after) but I really liked the way it feels. I think I'll use it for a few weeks before deciding to do any more modifications (which means about a 1000 rounds). I know triggers are a big topic here so I thought that I would share my newest experience.

A trigger only, will not improve the pull or help with your shooting. It may feel/look better, but that is it. Once you upgrade to the full Apex trigger kit, you will see what a smooth, crisp break does, not to mention lower trigger pull weight with less over travel and a faster reset.

With some practice you should see much tighter groups, assuming your trigger pull is causing the 6 inch groups, at 7 yards.

Now that I already have the trigger I don't really need the whole kit anymore, right? just the sear and springs? Or is there more?

As for practice...I agree, that's why I shoot every Friday afternoon.
