I just received my new Velocity Trigger and anti-walk pins.

I read some reviews and talked the Velocity Trigger and I am glad I did. This is a top notch product.

I decided to go with the 4lb version. 3lb triggers just are a bit to light for me.

List of products In modest build:

Here is the list of current product used:

BlackHawk Knoxx Stock (custom painted)
UTAC Rail Ladders covers (custom painted)
IProTec Nebo RM190LSR light/laser combo (custom painted)
Phoenix Technology AR skeleton hand grip (custom painted)
IMI Denfense FSG1 Support Grip (custom painted)
Melrose Lekker S&W MP15-22 Barrel Shroud
UTG 3-9x32 Compact CQB Bug Buster AO scope
ProMag Recoil Pad
Velocity Trigger 4lb drop in performance trigger with anti-walk pins.

Guess I will go ahead and replace the charging handle and it will be done, even with my not truly having an issue with the stock plastic unit.

Here is the unit.

Mark if the anti walk pins you have are standard AR type

then they will be a shade short on the 15-22 due to the polymer

receiver being a little wider than an AR .....KNS do specific

anti walk pins for the 15-22;)

Hmmmm you have a point. I will see in a bit. If so I will just use the factory units for now. I will look into KNS if need be.

Yep bad lever, charging handle and extended mag release.
Maybe an upgraded handguard?

Factory pins (from S&W) rely on springs within the trigger and hammer to keep them in place.

The CNC drop in fire control groups, and others (to likely include this FCG) do not have those retaining springs. Thus, the standard factory pins will just slide out and be of NO USE. If the pins slide through the holes freely, DO NOT USE THEM IN YOUR RIFLE WITH THAT FCG!

As was stated earlier, because the 15-22 is wider than an AR-15 mil spec lower receiver, you have to get 15-22 specific anti walk pins. And KNS makes those.

Got the trigger in stalled love it. I got anti-walk pins to work fine, as they where designed for the 15-22 I went ahead and ordered the KNS units to be safer the sorry. Put about 30 CCI Quiet-22 thru her, she fired fine. Used the Quiet not to have the neighbors call the cops on me lol. But as we know they don't cycle. I just wanted to make sure the trigger was working as advertised. Love it, smooth and 4lb is just right for me. Not to light as to fire without wanting to, I can put my finger on the trigger and not worry about firing before I want too, Love it.

Over two years ago I was looking at drop-in triggers for my M&P 15. The Velocity looked like a good compromise of performance and price. I haven't been shooting the 15 but a few times and didn't buy a trigger. But I would like a trigger to drop in the 15 as well as the 22-15. The WC Armory site stated the model to use for .22 rimfire is the Velocity #4 Steel. This means it is a 4lb pull and designed for shooting steel case ammo. Basically it strikes harder I think. They also state this is the model for shooting .22 rimfire. I'll give Velocity a call on Monday and determine if they recommend this model of the Velocity for a 15-22. I don't know much about the AR trigger system but it looks to me anti-walk and roll pins are not need with the Velocity installation system using special retention screws. I'll confirm with the call to Velocity. All the installation videos I watched on Youtube just used the factory pins that they took out for the removal of the factory trigger. Not suggesting the Velocity is the "best" trigger but it gets good reviews, watched YT videos and it seems easy to install, it is reasonably priced and the #4 Steel model might work with the 15-22. Is anyone in the forum using a Velocity? The term "velocity" in the search engine isn't useful-at least it didn't help me.

I was using a 4lb velocity as recommended in a 15-22 and it was fine. I used KNS 15-22 pins with the velocity as well.

It has since been replaced with a 3.5lb POF trigger with a straight bow. Really like it and I have had reliable ignition with it. STRAIGHT DROP-IN TRIGGER – Patriot Ordnance Factory About the same price as the Velocity when on sale.

Reason I replaced it was the set screws on the Velocity had to be very tight for reliable function and really didn't play well in the polymer frame. The POF uses rubber inserts for the tension and doesn't mess up the lower. If you use the KNS pins make sure the are the 15-22 specific ones as the are a bit longer due to the wider lower receiver.
