I contacted White Hat about a horsehide micro tuck for my m&p 40c with a custom image on the kydex. I was quoted a lead time of 4-6 weeks for the holster due to the custom options. I sent them my image and was told it would be about a week for the proofs to get back to me. Later that evening I received an email with the proofs! Outstanding! Less than two weeks later I had the holster in my hands. I ordered a belt as well and am very impressed with it. It rolls up very easily but had no issue holding up the holster and gun. The leather is antique cowboy black horsehide and is a little brighter than in the pic. Im at work and will try and get better pics later. <br />

That's pretty good looking!!! Will the white not be a bit flashy for trying to conceal it though? Either way that is a darn good looking rig.

I used to favor tan holsters, but found that your basic black is the BEST for NOT showing when the wind blows. Black may not be the most exiting color, but certainly blends in with my daily dress a whole lot better. Now that's ALL I buy EXCEPT for Cowboy Rigs which are meant to be seen of course.

Ive readabout white vs black for better accidental shirt lifts. Thing is i wear a white under shirt and even then the white is barely even sticking out from the belt line. I dont seeit being an issue at all.

Rich,
It's a beautiful image and great looking holster, but I gotta ask, why? I mean, who's gonna see it?

On a more practical side, will the image wear off through use?

no real reason just a preference on what I want to carry my firearm in. Only people who will be seeing it are my friends and fellow enthusiasts. I wanted something different than a standard cookie cutter holster and feel I did just that.

We will see about the wear on the kydex over time. I think it will do fine and the added image really wasn't much more than a solid color.

Looks good. Don't worry about anything showing. Almost all the white will be IWB so all you will see is the black gun and clips if the wind blows.

I just got my 2 I ordered. Gould 803-mp leather OWB and DeSantis Sof-Tuck IWB.

Almost all my carry is concealed. It would be rare for me to do otherwise.

My holster collection for my M&P .40 full size.

Is that the" combat cut" on the Alien Gear? Been looking at those.

Don't know. I didn't order anything special. I thought it was just that shape to fit the gun. It is a full size M&P .40 4.25" barrel.

I think the term "combat cut" comes from Crossbreed Supertuck holsters. It is funny - they remove more material and charge the buyer more $$$.

Crossbreed

What is the Combat Cut option?
Answer:

The Combat Grip is where we trim away some of the leather from the holster backer.

This allows a firmer grasp on the gun during the draw stroke. This modification does sacrifice a little bit of comfort but does increase the draw speed. This is an extra cost option because this cut is made to follow the contour of the slide/grip of the individual firearm and varies from one gun to another.

Approximatley 20% of our customers like this option, the others either have no preference or feel it sacrificess too much comfort.
