When my striker is disengaged It can be moved forward exposing pin without pushing in blocker.
Should that be happening?

Thanks,

if the striker block is not depressed it shouldn't, pull the striker allowing the striker block to reset you should hear a click, then try to push the striker in.

No forward striker movement after reset until blocker push.
After that point striker still moves forward until reset.

Update-Came across thread - M&P Shield Striker block failure.

It appears such striker movments the norm.

Yup this is normal. It wouldn't happen with a round chambered in battery. Well unless someone took inordinate steps to make it happen.
