Howdy folks,

Yet another FNG here ;)
IPSC revo is my favorite shooting game and I've decided to give current up to date revolvers a chance. Don't expect to do much better unfortunately, but by switching over to 8 loader 9 mm I'll be giving away my 2nd favorite excuse of sucking ;)

Thought long and hard between Super GP100 and 929, made up my mind today and am planning to pick my 1st powder burning S&W on Friday.
So far my Smith experience has been limited to 586 air pistol (for relaxing plinking/target punching @10 meters) and an airsoft version for practising moonclip changes.

Looking forward learning and having a good time here!

Welcome from New Hampshire!
I like the way you think.
Good Luck and enjoy the revolver game!

Welcome from Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Hancock, MI has Finnish street names and a large winter festival.
Not being held this year due to the Covid.

An old friend (now gone) fought for Finland in The Winter War.

Gentlemen,

Thanks for the warm welcome!
To address some q's and comments raised ;) :
'Saari' is fairly common family name down here. So, who knows, we might be related :) However, that bond would have to be relatively old, family history that I recall has no 'Saaris' after 1820 or so.

In my neck of the woods the temp this morning was just -3 celsius. We had some good frost a fortnight ago, but no colder than -25, living inland in southern parts has its benefits.

Michigan was one of the states that got quite a portion of Finns who migrated over to States back in the day I think. Hope you'll get your festival back soon!

Valmet-name indeed has graced some very good rifles and Sako is an important part of our firearms history. Part of Beretta today, not a bad owner but sad to see it go anyway.

Finally a special salutation for ACP230 passed away friend! Those were grim days and we did need all the help we could get indeed!
