Hello,
I actually first posted about a S&W 10-5 but thought I'd officially introduce myself. I split my time between a small town and the 70 odd acres of hardscrabble land I share with my sister and her husband. I'm a 63 year old woman who has been around guns most of my life. My dad was a WWII vet with a silver star and expertise in everything including a hand held bazooka. Oddly, he taught me how to use a band saw before he let me shoot a gun. We have the usual hobby/tiny farm array of animals and gardens. We do all the archetypal things: canning, eating our own chickens, etc. I'm also a retired history professor and an amateur archaeologist. I'm just getting into revolvers so will probably ask lots of annoying questions. I'm delighted to have found this very welcoming forum
