I am a returning shooter after an absence of several years. My first handgun purchase on return was a Sigma 9mm. I have put the first hundred rounds through it without any issue. Adjusting to the DAO trigger is something I will need to do but I don't anticipate a problem. The gun feels good in my hand and the recoil is less than expected. Tomorrow I will be taking it to a concealed carry class. I probably will not use it as my carry gun though. I have a Ruger LCP with CT sights for that purpose.

The firing part of the OK class is just a safety check to see if you can load and fire safely. The targets are not scored.

It irritates me that so many students obsess about the upcoming firing when they should be paying close attention to the laws discussion. Don't sweat the firing.
I recommend anyone who carries read the SDA at least annually.

Also be aware that the rules change as soon as you cross a state line, and you have to follow the laws of the state you are in at the time.

Welcome to the forum and to concealed carry.

Howdy from Idaho. Your permit will be honored here.
There are a lot of Sigma shooters here and they are very enthusiastic about it.
