Thinking about my next purchase, thought I'd throw it out to you guys. Here's what I have:
5906
3913
4566
4013
M&P 40 FS
686

I'm pretty impressed by the M&P, but as you can see I am a 3rd gen type guy. Don't really need another pistol but when has that ever stopped anyone:D

Thinking a shield, maybe find a 4516 of some flavor, I don't have a 1911 yet.............. What you guys think?

6906. Don't overlook the 457 as an alternative to the 4516.

If you find a 908S, you might want to think about that. I think they are really sweet looking.

A 1911 would be nice and all, but you need a decent sixgun!
And while my compadres have opined the legendary models 19 and 66, may I suggest something with a more legendary status, a Smith model 10 perhaps?
I know this is the auto section but lemme digress for a moment: the model 10 is one of the few S&W revolvers that's been there and done that, hence its original moniker 'Military & Police" not to be confused with the new M&P line. It's a fightin revolver, fires the classic .38 Special CTG and is as accurate as any $1,000 dollar semi-auto!
Nothing against the old Combat Magnum, they're status is cemented..BUT they were born from the humble model 10 whose career spans a century.
Just my 2 cents worth.

I agree with 6906 suggestion......and would like to find a 457 reasonable myself....a 457S would be even better..:D

I beat you to a nearly new looking 457 in Centerville a few weeks back for $395!

that's the kind of deal I am looking for....if you come across another one like that...a heads up would be much appreciated...;)

How about

All the ones you don't have yet?? :D

Takes the pressure off of "which one first" ;)

I'm in the same boat. My next purchase may be a Nickle Plated, 4 inch Bull barrel, Model 10 like my dad carried. I don't see a lot come up for sale though.

I have my eye on a Ruger Blackhawk convertible in 38-40/10 mm. at a LGS. So.....................probably will be my next purchase. Bought a EW m1 carbine 22lr yesterday and a 76' vintage Security-six last Saturday.

I just think you can't go wrong with a 1911.......I love my SW1911TA...combined with Golden Sabre 185 grain JHP's.......Personal and home defence with style........jmo....

There's a nice nickle M 10 listed on texasguntrader.com. for $320.

I helped narrow it down for ya. A revolver sculpted from Merlin's magical metal mix.

Merlin later said other than "N" frames and Python's this is as close as he can get to gold.

Your missing a target gun and a pocket gun...

I have an M41 with 7 3/8" barrel for my target pistol, and a 642 and BG380 for pocket guns.

I think you'd just love a little j-frame!!! ;)
