Greetings,
One of my local gun shops has been an outstanding source for 3rd Gen Smiths. My 1006, 4014, 908 had already come from there, all at great prices. I love the tank feeling of my 1006, and had been thinking about trying to find a 1066 as a stablemate. Last week, this guy was hiding in the cabinet, and it will do just fine...
The mechanics seem to be perfect, with some holster wear to keep things honest. I really like the full hammer, plus the treat of non-MIM parts. I suspect it was an LEO or security company gun, given the wear and the rack number "386" electric-penciled into the magazine well.
No safe queen here! As soon as I get a couple of extra .45 mags and a proper holster, I fully expect it to become a potential HD & carry gun.
The serial number is TYW59XX. Any idea on a DOB?
Thanks,
Hunter
