I just got a nice low number victory model, V-70XXX with a flaming bomb but no visible inspectors stamps. Fits nicely in an early Viet Nam era issue holster that I purchased along with a Bucheimer combat holster issued to the same person by the secret service later on.
There was some confusion about this sale because the seller quoted me a four digit number without a v prefix but the images I had were clearly of a victory. Turned out the four digit number was under the crane and the V prefix number appears many places on the weapon. I thought I might be getting a pre victory but it is just a very good condition Victory and I am still pleased with the purchase, just not the accuracy of the numbers I was quoted.

thanks, military handguns are speeeendy but these victories are kind of a sleeper. Priced right for what they are, it cost me more than I would pay for a model 10, but I do beleive the history will always make it worth more than a 10, even most 14's. In the vault to be pulled out for BBQ's and maybe an IDPA match if the mood strikes.

Looks like a nice one. Going to have it lettered? No telling where these were shipped without one. I've gotten some real suprises.
