Nickle 581 value

I'm looking at a nickle 581 no dash with the M stamp. The nickle is original and near perfect, factory target grips and appears barely fired. No box/papers, just the gun. Price is a firm $825 OTD which seems a little high but not terrible. What do you guys think.

Those guns are scarce. Probably a fairly reasonable price.

If you really want it I'd grab it, I picked up a 581 nd at xmas in like new condition, it was the first one that I've ever seen. So nickle would be extremely rare.

Not that many 581's out there, even fewer had the nickel finish. If it's the original finish and in good condition, $825 is not out of line.

If you want one, you will likely not find another for a while and who knows what the price will be then. On the other hand, lots of S&W guns are good at putting 357 rounds down range.

I bought a mint no dash 3 or 4 years ago for $375 otd.It looks great with a Tyler T.I don't think that I have ever shot it.
