One of the rules coming down from the new gun law occurs by October 2022.
Dealers will be required to report NICS background check denials and delays to the FBI. All denials and delays will be passed to local law enforcement for investigation.
In the case of a delay, if an OK proceed comes back the dealer is to report this also to the FBI to note that the OK was given after a delay.
I was delayed several years ago because the system was overloaded. The system was down. Everybody was delayed.
Many delays and denials are due to clerical errors or glitches.
If someone is delayed or denied once for a mistake (wrong address, address not matching ID) clerical or system error, will they always be denied or delayed from that point forward because they were once denied or delayed and were "Under Investigation"?
Do you see the circular thing going on here?
