What can anybody tell me about a 'scope marked
"Night Force 1.75 - 6 x 42"
No other markings. It has a illuminated reticule and was purchased about 15-20 years ago. It is mounted on Winchester M70 30/06 Classic Stainless with a composite stock also purchased at the same time. Neither have been fired.

The above was donated to our local VFW post and we plan to raffle it off, so need any and all info we can gather.

(Originally bought by a local that was planning to go Brown Bear hunting in Alaska until someone convinced him that a 30/06 wasn't necessarily the best choice unless he was an excellent shot. He apparently gave up on his hunting trip and never fired the gun....)

You have listed almost all the pertinent data, except for the tube diameter, either 1" or 30mm. Also you should say who the bases and rings are made by. The Nightforce scopes ore well made and of very highest quality and also expensive!

They are fantastic scopes I use a couple of them you may want to separate them as the rifle could drag the scope value down. But the reality of it is its not uncommon for the scope to cost more than the rifle especially on a serious hunt.

Midway still carries the line.
