night sights that don't fade?

Has anyone come up with a night sight that uses something other than tritium that does not fade out? I know they tried Superluminova a few years back but I don't think it caught on.

Not really. Some sights could be "charged" by holding near a light, but that is really useless for a carry gun that must be used instantly..

Nothing I know of. Tritium hits that 12 - 14 year window of usability pretty reliably.

Super luminova BGW9...white/blue is what is used in the better grade tool watch divers.it will last a full 8 hrs on a charge.why it is not used as a sight option is beyond me.
