Box of Front Sights

Has anyone seen this black S&W box before? There are six various front sights in the trademarked box. I don’t know the age of the package, so I wasn’t sure what section/era to place this post. So thought I would start here.

I think you’re right. I found a few pictures of an early 90’s 629 Classic that had this box in the package.

I owned a 629 Classic with the interchangeable front sight. Mine had a unique factory accessory rear sight also. It mounted in the scope mount holes.

That was probably an LPA rear sight. It has one of the best sight pictures of any for a S&W revolver. The 686 Competitor came with that one from the factory.
