My 3913TSW has become my steady carry and as such I'm thinking of putting night sights on.

What do people recommend for sights? I know that some people have used hi visibility paint, but how good is that approach?

Is installing new sights something I should be able to do myself? I know that this is probably not easy to answer since it's unlikely that anyone is going to know my skill level. I know that there are spring and other parts under the rear sight and the the front sight will need to be drifted in. Is it better to just find a gunsmith in my area and pay for the installation?

I'd appreciate any thoughts on this.

Thanks,

Gary

sights

Have been using Tru-Glo tritium/fiber-optic TFO sights on my duty gun and I like them very much. They gather light through the fiber optic tubes during the day, and are illuminated by the trutium at night. I'm not sure if they are available for your particular model or not. They are available at OpticsPlanet, Amazon and other retailers.

I have trijicon night sights on both my M&P's and my 4003. I like them a lot.

Second the TFO, far superior to the small little white dots many others offer. I do my own sights. I have brass punches, a sight tool etc. I would not try it w/o those.
