night vision goggles and regular rifle scope

Dear Smith and Wesson Forum would Night vision goggles and a regular rifle scope be a workable combination for shooting at night or should just bite the bullet and buy a night vision scope? any and all help in answering this question would be greatly appreciated sincerely mg357 a proud member of the Smith and Wesson Forum

If you already have NV goggles all you need on your rifle would be a sighted in laser. Put the dot on your target and shoot.
 
Check your applicable state laws, especially if this is in regards to hunting. ND specificaly outlaws the use of night vision equipment in hunting.
 
Here in Texas it is legal to shoot pigs and other nongame animals with a "Night Scope".

I recommend this...

IF you want to kill stuff "at night", put your money into a "night scope", and mount it on a rifle of suitable calibre to kill the "stuff" you want to kill.

This is how I do it. I have a 5mW green laser on my 15-22 that I use in conjunction with the NVG's for dealing with night critters that I need to get shed of.
