Looking for any information on the NightGuard 315..... I have the opportunity to purchase one and I cant find much information on it....
It looks to be in great shape and sadly only accepts 38 special plus P.......

How do the 315 Nightguard owners like their revovler!

thank you!

I have one, I’ve used it as a woods gun when we trained our last two bloodhounds. They and the 357 (41 magnum) were the two short runs in the night guard series. When training the bloodhounds I wanted something light to carry owb. I was loading snakeshot and 110 grain hollow points for whatever critters we could run into.

The 315 was the last of the Night Guard series so when the series was discontinued there were only 500 to 600 made. I cannot recall the exact number but believe it was like 589.

I picked one up years ago but haven't put many rounds through it because of the rarity. When I got it I was intending to carry it but just haven't.

It shot well and was accurate. Very light to carry and I really like the sights.

The reason the NG series was discontinued was due to the new, for then, high capacity 9mm models taking over the SD market.

I opted for the 9mm as well but love my 315NG.

Here is mine wearing Spegel grips instead of the Pachmayr grips that came on it.

Thanks.

It is one I will hang onto until the end, even if I don't shoot it.

Had no box or docs but was in decent shape.

Your price isn't out of line from what I have seen. I paid $700 from NW Pony Express in ID in 2015 or so.

Always had wanted one and jumped on it when I saw it.

I had a 329 and currently have a 325. Love ‘em!!
325 is one of my favorite carry revolvers and I shoot it often. Even with the express front site, can hit shotgun clays at 15 with relative ease.

All of the NG guns are insanely light for caliber if you're accustom to steel guns. I have the 629NG. 200gr slugs over 6.0gr of Clays felt snappy. That's my .44 mouse fart load.

My 329/325 had a stainless cylinder with a scandium frame. Not like the 329pd which is crazy light. Added some weight. Full house ammo in the 329 would clear the sinuses of everyone within 30 feet!

I do prefer steel framed pistols however I think 38 plus P in this frame would be rather fun to shoot....this is a carry pistol for myself and wife..... I really want to pull the trigger

I found only two recent sales of the 315NG on gunbroker.com. One went for $1899 and the other sold for $2025. Both were in original boxes with paperwork. Maybe $1350 is not bad. Your call.
