Too bad they don't offer a men's 15 wide. :(

I have an issue with American flag clothing in general, but this is a good cause and I don't see a problem with their design.

Crocs are dangerous. I have forbidden my 79 year old mother from wearing them. Little moisture on the floor and you're gonna look like Wile E Coyote after the Roadrunner gets thru with him.

Nike shoes don't fit my feet right. I wear Adidas Samba indoor soccer shoes for every day, and I use Under Armor or New Balance cross trainers for active stuff. I don't base many, if any decisions on the politics of a manufacturer. I buy what I like, and evaluate it based on quality, my history with the product, and current usefulness for my purpose. Almost every entity out there has probably done something I didn't like. Don't care . . .

Topsiders. Or Crocs

I commented on another forum that I wear nothing but New Balance. I forgot to say, "I wear nothing but New Balance on my feet.", and the reactions were not pretty.

I've been wearing NB sneakers exclusively for about 7 years now. Comfortable, wear well, easy to clean, etc...,

New Balance for me; the only company that still makes at least 25% of the stuff here in the US - and they fit true to size unlike Nike

I'm on my 5th pair of New Balance, but I'm not so sure about that "made in the US" claim.
I wear the 608s. They are not made in the US; BUT no other company bothers to make ANY models in the US - at least they do

I have wide feet and need a 4E size 10 shoe. NB is one of the few that make tennis/sport shoes in a wide size.

Topsiders. Or Crocs

Topsiders are the most versatile form of footwear around. They work well with shorts, slacks, and jeans. You can even wear them with a light suit for that Miami Vice look. Between my Topsiders and various boots, I haven't had a need for Nike shoes since I was in high school.

I've never worn the Swoosh.
Not for any socially conscious reason just always found something else to better suit me.
Like others that posted I try not to make my decisions based upon trends, fads or policy.

90 percent of my time is spent in a well broken in pair of Wolverine work boots .I try and keep at least 1 new pair and 1 being broken in pair wearing to town or going into the city .I have found that by the time my everyday pair get worn out my being broken in pair are just about right for daily use .Only white socks for me.

New Balance and Manufacturing in the US

We're proud to be the only major company to make or assemble more than 4 million pairs of athletic footwear per year in the USA, which represents a limited portion of our US sales. Where the domestic value is at least 70%, we label our shoes Made in the USA.

Our commitment to domestic manufacturing allows New Balance to employ American workers at our five facilities in Maine and Massachusetts. Whenever possible, we purchase materials from domestic suppliers who employ more than 7,000 workers locally.

Here ya go

I always get a chuckle out of people who post stuff like that using equipment and technology that was 100% without a doubt manufactured outside the US . . . :D

Glad you get "a chuckle out of it." For me, I see nothing at all wrong with the sentiment for trying to support vendors who still try to manufacture in the U.S.A.
