Nikon scope deal

I was looking around for a scope for my new, as yet unarrived S&W MP15 OR, and checked out this website listed below. I have not seen this advertised yet anywhere else so here goes. For all of you Nikon lovers out there, includes me BTW, this site is including the Nikon mounts when you buy the scope. That means you get the P series base with the P series scope and the M series base with the M series scope. I thought it was a good deal anyways so I ordered the P223 with 3x9 bdc reticle. Just checked my email and got a notice from their customer service dept that the P223 scope that I ordered is on backorder. They sent the email at noon today. Oh well e might as well add this scope to the list of everything else that is on backorder too.

I just ordered this scope and rings from natchez for the same money but there was one big difference. The scope that I ordered from natchez is a refurbished one. I can't tell it from a new scope. I went ahead and put the refurbished scope on until the new one comes in. I told my son he can have the refurbished scope for his sport. He said that he didn't care and that the scope looked nice. Yep- both of us like the Nikon BDc reticle.

Ok, here is an update. I called cabelas and talked to a customer rep about the P223 online ad. Cabelas is advertising a free mount with a P300 scope. The rep agreed that this was a typo. He checked 3 times to make sure that the free rings were included with the 3x9 scope order and they were. He informed me that he was going to send a memo to someone to have the typo fixed. Upshot of the deal is I got the scope with the free rings. I have looked online everywhere and everyone else is sold out. Why do you and the rep think this is a typo? Nikon runs this promo quite often on the P and M series scopes....buy the scope and get the mount for free.

The reason we both thought it was a typo was because it listed a P300 scope at the top of the ad and there was no P300 scope in the ordering chart below the ad. I also told him this promo was being offered on other websites, which I did name several. I don't think Nikon offers a P300 scope yet. I though originally that maybe it was a new scope for the 300 blackout. But that was not the case. In any event that is a good deal, especially for the 3x9 version. I have the 3x9 model that I bought from natchez but I have not shot it. It is a reconditioned scope. It looks nice and my son likes it better than the 3x P223. That is saying a lot as he really likes the 3x. I did too, until I got the 3x9.

Cypher- I just checked your link and saw the 300 scope. Cabelas listed the free rings with the 300 scope on their website But did not include the 300 in their chart. I called them on tuesday morning and the gal told me the p223 scopes did not include free rings. I kept seeing the promo on several websites but they were all sold out and on backorder. I thought that was strange so I called again and talked to someone else. This guy assured me that the rings did indeed come with the 3x9 scope. In any event I ordered the scope. I cant wait to get this on my 15OR.

So I just got an email saying the mount for the p233 is back ordered and couldn't tell me when it would be back in stock. The kicker is optics planted shipped the scope, so now unless I ship it back I cannot get the free rings. Anyone know a replacement mount or where they have the scope and rings in stock? It's the fixed 3x Nikon p223

My rings are backordered from cabelas as well. My scope with rings are backordered from swfa too. Its all a waiting game now. I sent optics planet an email yesterday about this promo and they replied today that is was backordered but due in stock in a couple of weeks. That should hopefull give you an idea of the timeframe. See that is what is frustrating to me. OpticsPlanet showed the rings as being in stock. They show all kinds of other stuff not in stock. Then they send me an email saying they are going to ship me all the items I ordered. Then I get an email saying the rings are not in stock- yet they said they were on the site. Then when I call to cancel order, they say "oh, well we already shipped the scope". See the frustration here. Seems like a bait and switch. I even paid for 2nd day shipping. They did refund me all the shipping costs, but it does me no good to have a scope with no rings. hell, I would pay for the darn rings. When I spoke with them, they said they had no clue when the rings would be in. I noticed wal-mart sold the same scope. i am gonna stop by tomorrow and see if by some odd luck they have the rings in stock.

I appreciate it..what I ended up doing was buying the 25dollar primary arms mount. Figured ill use this while I wait for the Nikon ones to come in. This way ill have a backup set or can use them on another rifle. Was buying the tan bipod front grip anyways. Wasn't too bad at 25 plus optics refunded my 25 dollar shipping anyways and they are gonna ship the nikons for free. So it was basically a wash. Now to find some ammo and ill be all good lol

Guy's I understand your frustration. It seem's like anything AR related is tough to get. I know Nikon increased production of the P and M-Series Mount's for this promo. It is a great deal if you can get your hands on the mount. Hopefully they'll send the mount to you when it arrives. Frustrating I know. Here's a link for the promo in case you need it. I got the scope in the mail and I am waiting on the rings. I am not frustrated, I have come to accept it as normal anymore. I am really surprised when something is in stock! Thanks for responding to this thread. My son and I both like the Nikon brand so we are just waiting patiently.The rings should be here soon. Now if my pmags from Brownells would ship, I would really be happy!
