I bought a new 2014 nissan frontier crew cab in September 2014. It is the pro 4x model.I have had zero problems.I bought the Nissan over the Toyota for the beefier boxed ladder frame construction. I had 2 tacomas in the past. My last new 2000 taco had to have manifold gasket replaced under warranty and rain water from road was getting in through right floorboard front passenger area. I do like new redesigned taco.

I have had three traded each in for a new one after three years about 40000 mi have no complaints to date. check consumer reports they give a good idea on pros and cons good luck

My last Frontier standard shift, I put 218,000 on it, changed oil every 3000 miles and except brakes, tires and batteries, sold it with everything else original including exhaust. One caveat, 80% of that mileage was I95 type roads though.

My wife and I both drive Nissans. Hers is a 2010 Sentra, and mine is a 2014 Rogue. These were our first time not owning a gm product, excluding her having a Mazda 3 for a few years. Our next vehicle will be Nissans.

I've been driving Nissan pickups and Pathfinders for over 30 years. I've been please with all of them, but the early Pathfinder engines were a little week. Currently have an 08 Pathfinder with 124,000 miles on it and planning many more.

My 3/4 ton Duramax is currently in the shop and I rented one of these to get me around. So far I am rather impressed!

On my 2nd Pathfinder. a 2012 Silver edtion. Had a 06 before that. Have owned many nissans and toyotas thru the years. More bang for yur buck with a Nissan. Love'em.

I have a friend that bought his first Nissan truck in 1986, which was the predecessor of the Frontier and kept it until around 2013 or so. He rolled somewhere around 400,000 miles on it and in 2013 (or maybe 2014) he replaced it with a Frontier. In both of them, he went with the V6 engine option.

A good friend just bought a new blue extended cab Frontier and I think the crew cab is a wise choice because there wasn't much room back there. The seats and interior were very "cool" looking and not like any other truck I have ever seen, the other manufacturers need to take a lesson or two from Nissan on styling. The truck looked very sturdy and high quality to me and my friend really likes it and I think he said he paid $22K.

2011 Frontier 4 door owner here. Great small truck, nice ride and does everything a small truck should do, and as mentioned above its about 23K new. Good price for a truck now a days. No a single problem so far.

Buddy has the 4 door Frontier. I think its a 2006. No problems other than pesky air pressure tire sensors. He gripes about the MPG which he says is about 17 average. I don't like riding in it. Seats are hard and ride is stiff.

Toyotas were too pricey and dealers wouldn't bargain. We bought a 2005 Frontier crew cab and except for a pricey fuel gauge replacement (a fault of the 2005), zero problems here in the Pacific NW. Finish holding up nicely through hot summers and cold winters, decent mileage and 275 hp. Wife has a 2000 Pathfinder=excellent! (except weak in power). Both are silver and both are paid for!

Best vehicles we have had except for a 1985 Toyota SR5 4 wd

If you buy a Nissan, check first thing to see if the OEM jack will lift the vehicle high enough to remove/replace a tire. The jack that came with my 2011 Xterra will not, something I discovered on a dirt road 50 miles from the nearest town in 95 degree heat. Fortunately, I had a couple of 2x6 pieces and managed the change. Nissan knew about the problem since 2008 and did nothing. The 2014 Xterras on the lot had the same jack that came with mine. I don't know about the Frontiers.

Mine is a 2000 "Desert Runner".
95,000 trouble free miles. 3.3 V-6, 5 speed.
A/c blows cold. No problems at all.
Not a high speed truck, 70mph=3000rpm.
No leaks, no repairs or rust.

In a past life I was a Honda certified tech (motorcycle) and had owned Honda cars since 1981. Love my Honda cars. 2012 me and wife go to replace our 2001 Accord with a newer model. I don't buy new, always 1 to 2 years old. The price of used Honda's was stupid. 2 year old Accords were damn near the price of new. Found a deal on a 2010 Nissan sentra SR. The wife loved it when she test drove it, so done deal. She's put 40K on it in 4 years with no problems. The CVT trans is odd at first, but you get use to it. I would definitely buy another Nissan.
