No longer own any assault weapons

Yes, it is true. I wish to give a big thanks to our local media for allowing this to happen. You see, last week a local LEO's car was broken into and several items were stolen. Among them a .308 rifle and a .223 PATROL rifle. (the caps were put on by me for emphasis). Since our local LEO's carry either AR-15's, or M-4's, according to the media they are not assault weapons, but patrol rifles.
So I now only own an AR-15 patrol rifle and an FN FAL patrol rifle. So as much as I hate to admit it, I am now more politically correct in the type of firearms I own.

Haven't you figured out yet that when the LEO's own them they are "patrol rifles" and when you own them they are assault weapons?

My S&W M&P15 OR are Sporting Rifles, nothing else, well maybe home protection rifles.

While my rifles are sleeping my shotgun with "OO" buck is guarding the house and property. The dogs are my first alarm.

With all the media hype about pistols and assualt rifles being used in crimes i'd figure to use the shotgun if need be.

Its so out of hand i turn the TV off now and play puter chess.

All journalists and media types should have to take a firearms course. Not to shoot but to learn what the heck their talking about. Not too long ago there was a news story about a duck hunting accident. On the screen behind the anchorperson was an AR.(duck!!---gun!!). Duck gun? Their really clueless.

And the Dept. of Homeland Securuty just ordered 7,000 FULLY AUTOMATIC Personal Defense Rifles (PDF) with 30 round Mag's. Funny-------- their full auto's are personal defense rifles, but our semi autos are assault weapons!

I'm into flying RC helicopters now. Nice not to have to go the range to enjoy my hobby. Now if someone breaks in to my house, I'll launch one of my flying lawn mowers at them as they are assault helis.

"Modern Sporting Rifle" works for me. Along with "Standard Capacity Magazines". It's really time we stopped letting the media and politicians hang pejorative names on our property.
