Go A's------------ When was the last time they were in the world series??

I'm channeling the strength of the Buffaloes through to the Astros. Our opponents are worthy, but we shall prevail. The Dodger's shall be sent back to LA in awe of the Astros and Houston. They will also be envious of our weather.

I would rather watch a mediocre college football game.

I'm sure you'll have plenty of 'em to choose from over the next several days.

Strength comes from within. Our boys have the strength, but our adversary is deserving too. Channel the strength of the Buffs. Folks will know we are good even if we do not win this World Series. I'll start trash talk if this goes back to LA.

I live near San Antonio. Other than the Spurs, half the town roots for Dallas teams and the other half roots for Houston. As far as the "Series", if the Spurs aren't playing in it who cares. :)

Give it another 108 years. :D
In 1908 the Tzar ruled Russia, the Kaiser Germany, the Empereor Japan and the King (of England) India. There was no NBA or NHL or NFL. The NCAA was two years old. The very first model T Fords had just rolled off the assembly line (at Piquette, Rouge had not been planned yet). The Wright brothers were still trying to find someone to buy one of their creations.

I wonder what 2124 (the next time the Cubs win the World Series) will be like.

Some of my first memories are of going to Colt stadium with my family to watch the Colt .45s play baseball. We did not make it to the first Astro's game in the Astrodome, but we went to the second game. Nothing can replace the memories that I have of those times, but this team is a class act worthy of respect. Are they still having that horribly hot weather out there in LA? A town with such bad weather that does not put a roof on their baseball stadium... how quaint.

'05. Swept by the White Sox.

Game 2 of this current series was spectacular.

Go 'Stros!

Thank you Mein Herr. :-)) and figures they lost. :( I went to an Astros game back in 08 in Houston, they were winning, but in the 9th inning-they replaced the Pitcher-and the other team scored 10 runs and they lost big time. It had been Astros 7-other team had I think 4?? then Astros lost 7-14 I think? Dunno who the other team was. By 9th inning-I was busy stuffing my face with an order of Nachos Supreme.:D
