SCAM DEALER SUPREME.
I recently had the ugly experience of attempting to deal with a highly suspect gun dealer called Global Arms Online.
I wanted a fairly cheap antique Webley and proceeded for the next 3 days to arrive at a suitable form of payment. Their Yelp rating was not good. I spent a total of over 16 hours trying to get someone who had them as a client to make the money transfer. Paypal, Chime, Venmo and Zelle. The first 3 had no record of them. Zelle sent me a contract which stated "cash on delivery" No delivery came. I got ahold of Donald, Jorge or whatever his real.name is and he said he stopped delivery because I hadn't paid. The invoice from Zelle said COD and I told him that. It didn't matter. Ok. The time I invested is worth more than the Webley so I had already told him I would document the transaction for the benefit of the S&W forums hoping it would be positive. But we arrived at this sorry review.
Do not purchase anything from Global Arms Online. They are scammers and best deserve to be prosecuted. This is a fair and legitimate warning, not a grudge. Caveat Emptor. Also, include Gundepot-usa.com in this scam alert.

This statement, copied verbatim, on their homepage is what law enforcement officers call a "clue . . . "

We'll find the closest Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) gun store to your location for firearms pickup. Get your Glock hand guns here with no License needed. We also got Used hand guns for sale and New Hand guns for sale they don't require any background check or FFL.

Sounds like you are lucky you didn't lose your money. Using the type payments you were trying to use will cost you at some point. If you send money through something like Paypal and you don't get the gun you just lost your money because those companies will not help you. It will be gone. If a place takes credit cards it is best to use a credit card as you can get your money back if they scam you. If a place does not take credit cards that is your sign they are scammers. Every legit website I have ever seen takes credit cards.

The people over at Global Ordnance (a real, legit company) must be grinding their teeth. People are sure to get them and the scammers mixed up, you know, because that reading comprehension thing goes awry pretty easily.

I've worked in billing/payments/fraud for 20+ years. It is worth noting that none of the payment methods you mentioned allow the use of their services for firearm purchases. This is important for two reasons. 1, if you use them and something goes wrong, they will not help you in any way. In fact, they will likely ban you from the further use of their services. 2, scammers know this, and it's the main reason that they'll try to get you to use those payment methods. If a seller won't take a credit card, or USPS money order, then I won't do business with them PERIOD.

"We also got" is the biggest of the many clues. Lol

I had a conversation several years ago with a woman who worked as an investigator for ATF. When I asked her how many illegal gun sales are consummated through legitimate gun sale web sites she chuckled and rolled her eyes. Because we here on the Forum are honorable folks, and men and women of our word, I think we tend to give the benefit of the doubt to people, and sometimes lose sight of how many dishonest scoundrels there are in this world. Thanks for the heads-up, Steve Dee...

Any business that won't take credit cards is likely a scam. These creeps are very good at what they do.
