I've had good experience with the various Hoppes products and Balistol, not so good with the Bore Tech products and Break Free CLP. The issue is that the later two seem to gum up in time and begin to slow the action particularly of the automatics. I prefer cleaners which I can leave in place as lubricators. Recommendations?

Birchwood Casey Barricade or , and especially Sheath (if you can find some). Single best product I've ever used in 37 years of gun maintenance.

I like Ed's Red with the lanolin. With all five ingredients the solvents evaporate and leave the oils and lanolin in place. If you use all five ingredients do not get it on the grips, be they wood or rubber, as the solvents will damage them.
