Im learning as go, I got i got two guns now only been a gun owner for a month but have shot many guns of my friends, rented ones at the range and a few other circumstances like askin someone at the range "can i shoot your gun if you shoot mine?) my new ones an m&p, i concealed carry,

will I wear out any part of the gun at all if i keep one in the chamber over time. Ive looked it up, some say yes, some say no. But you guys know your m&p's, i got an m&p 9mm compact.

No problem at all. The only possible issue is loading and unloading the same round again several times. This may cause the casing bullet set back. To avoid this just leave the round in the chamber. If you must unload it use a new bullet after several times loading and unloading.

I agree with southchatham...not a problem.

If you actually do wear something out it will be in like 20 years from now. One thing though, when you put a round in the chamber do so from the mag and not just drop one in. When you just drop it in and release the slide the extractor slams into the casing.
