Greetings all-

I've owned Glocks and enjoy shooting them, but recently was fortunate enough to get my hands on a 9mm Pro 5" barrel.

I was going to ask for help on the slide lock, but after a couple of day rubbing my thumb raw, it is beginning to loosen up a bit. :o

I was hoping you good people could help me with Magazine purchases. I'm looking to add some more to the 2 that came with the gun, and was hoping you might know of some good places to order them from. I'm looking for the full 17 round magazines.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for mentioning Botach. They have them for $22 per mag. Not a bad deal at all.

Well my M&P8 FS even with over 2,000 rounds through it is still hard to release the slide with the "slide stop" and would give me a sore thumb. The same thing with my older but new to me M&P40C that I have put a couple of hundred rounds through.

However there is a phenomenon with M&P known as slide forwarding which with my 9 will automatically forward the slide when slamming a magazine into the weapon especially if I am holding the weapon at about or near to a 45 degree angle and it seems to do this about 85 percent of the time and when it doesn't I simply rack the slide with my left hand and proceed to fire away. This does not happen so far with the 40 caliber but then again I usually look to rack the slide anyway but if it does it just when I slam in a mag then that is all the better!
