Northern lights light up North Georgia

I've seen them while visiting Alaska, but being able to watch the Northern Lights from my porch in the Arkansas Ozarks is pretty cool.

Would like to experience the sight someday esp. kicked back on that slope below the Rabun Gap - Nacoochee School facing the wrong direction but an easy fix. A bonus would be the high temp there 20 - 30 deg. cooler than down here.
Thanks for the pictures.

Thanks for the pictures.

We are on the north side of Black Rock Mountain, overlooking the valley behind the school.

Seeing them here in middle Tn. Wife is very excited. She has always wanted to see them. Her sister and family came from town to see them.Neighbor from California and kids enjoyed them.I used to live in Michigan and fish in Canada I have seen them before.Interesting weather week tornado hit half mile from house. Now northern lights God is playing games with us.

drove around out in the country north of Omaha until 12:45am.. saw nothing... but can't sleep, so maybe around 3am I will catch a glimpse.. lol

That's pretty cool being able to see them this far South. Some stuff is going on from the sun, sun spots & storms and I think I saw Solar Maximus thrown in there from an article I glanced through. It's supposed to be messing with satellites, etc., long distance radio communications bouncing off the ionosphere, and a lot of technical stuff that is gonna keep space people busy the next few days. (Probably our carbon emissions and cattle exhausts.) They say one can see the lights through a cell phone much easier, kinda like when that circle is around the sun sometimes. Enjoy the Heavens' light shows.

Pink and orange glow here with green flashes where we live. At 3 am I could see the green flashes and a faint glow to the north.
