Got a chance to check the 3913LS off the list so figured why not? I'm not after all the Lady Smiths...just these two so I guess I'm on to other stuff on the ever expanding list of stuff I just gotta have. I've had trouble keeping up with it but my list is finally getting shorter instead of longer...at least as of today.

These aren't rare or terribly collectable but I'm happy to have 'em.:)

What is not to like? Here's mine, just not a lady by name.

Not everyone that isn't a 3913 LS fan is put off by the word "lady" being etched on their firearm. For me, it is the aesthetic of the angled dustcover that never looked right to me, whether it is a NL or LS variant. I would rather have the lines be similar to my other 3rd gens. Purely a personal preference thing, like a squared trigger guard is less to my liking.

Should add that I like the revos just fine. I used to have one just like the OPs photo.

I hear what your saying about the dust cover...didn't appeal too much initially but it grew on me...;) I figure they have their place in the Smith line up and I always have room for more stuff!

The angled dust cover is what makes the LS and NL models appeal to folks who covet them. Do yourself a favor and get a set of black grips - makes for a much more handsome "Lady".

Funny how subjective the appeal of 'different' is. I don't like the angled dust cover because it is looks so different, but yet I find the gray plastic grips appealing for exactly that reason.

Get a set of both colors . I'll put the black on for a while then go back to gray.
That's a 4566tsw above the 3913nl

Pardon my ignorance, but what model is the revolver?

Gary; That's a model 65LS .357 magnum with a 3" barrel. Great gun.

Those are definitely my favorite S&W revolver and my favorite S&W pistol. I've already resigned myself to the fact that my daughter will have my 65LS sooner rather than later. I am considering trading my 3913NL for a 3913LS to make a gift set for her.

Strange, I always liked the look of the angle and the color, I just thought it would look bad after I had to grind the "Lady Smith" off of one. I'm over that now days and would love to have one. That pistol and a CZ75 are the only 2 9mm's I'm interested in. But hey, we all have our own likes and dislikes, as proven right here ,it really doesn't matter. Variety is what makes things so interesting.

My take on the "Lady Smith" is that if I appreciate a good lookin' lady on my arm I'm sure to appreciate one on my hip!;) And while the 3913 9mm is no slouch the 3" 65 is all 357 magnum and I actually prefer it's fixed sights over the adjustable sights on my 3" 66 for carry!:D
