I notice people all the time complaining about the beef jerky and other non gun related items at gun shows . How about all the non gun related posts on the forum. Who cares where you get your hair cut ,your back shaved ,your imaginary detective stories ,wireless routers and other non gun related stuff ? I do not post a lot as I am no fountain of wisdom but I use the forum to try to increase my knowledge of all things gun related. I am not trying to hurt anyones feelings this is the best gun forum out there and I think it should stay that way. I guess there are some who will say this is not gun related. Again the intent was not to hurt anyones feelings and if I have I am truly sorry. Joe

That's why its the LOUNGE.

The gun related stuff is in the other sections.

Some gun related web sites do not have a lounge or open area so all it is is guns, ammo, guns, and related guns and more guns stuff.

Maybe I have just not been enlightened as to how the forum is set up. I have always just clicked on new posts and waded past the clutter to get to the gun stuff. Thanks for your guidance. I will attempt to figure this out. Sorry to have stepped on anyones toes. Joe.

Great thread you started.:D

Do you like hockey, we have a thread going with a few posts in it.
Your welcome to join us.

I love Beef Jerky, Cars, Motorcycles and just about any other interests another member has even if I don't, I learn a lot from these threads.

I've always thought there should be a forum for the discussion of firearms other than S&W. Leave the lounge for anything but guns. I get a kick out of the gun topics posted in the lounge, eg Star Pistols and Charter Arms, but they'd stand out more in a dedicated forum.

BTW SFCHAINLEY, where would you have posted your OP other than the lounge? :D

I don't think the Prayer Requests are gun related either, but I read everyone of them.

I quit going to gun shows.

If I see a topic which has no interest for me I don't click on it.

So simple even an Army guy can do it! :D

I come to the lounge to see what interesting things are going on with people I've grown to like greatly over the years. This is a VERY diverse group, full of interesting stories and wierd life experiences. Ages vary, from new to old. There are other sections for serious gun questions. Think of the lounge as a nice local bar where everyone knows your name.................

I suggested such a section a long time ago but did not fly well with the administration.

I'm sure such a section would get traffic. The hardcore S&W fanatics around here seem to have a wealth of knowlege about other guns as well.

I just scrolled the lounge topic listings and you know what?

Almost half of them were gun related.

I like it here and I learn and have fun at the same time.

I've also Given and Received.Prayers,Karma,Bad and good jokes, advice (we all know something that others don't) and recipes.++++++++etc.

I hope you can understand,

Certain things seem to go hand in hand. It seems that if a person likes guns, they lean conservative, also like motorcycles and airplanes.
For many years I have claimed if I ask a person just two or three questions, I can pretty accurately predict what their answers will be for many more questions.
Just the intrest in guns puts most of us together here with similar likes and dislikes. Besides, how hard is it to not click on a subject header that doesnt draw you?

I enjoy the lounge, even I get tired of reading about guns sometimes. There a lot of people with a wide variety of knowledge who are willing to share.

I also like the fact that it is so strictly moderated and kept clean. They have been remarkably successful keeping this a pleasant forum to read.

Is this the Steven Hawking Lego Set Thread???

The lounge is a great place to "talk " with friends about any interesting topics. I come here to enjoy the on line company of thousands of friends with things to discuss and share. I go to the other sections to learn about interesting guns. All my best, Joe.
