Been looking around for a wheeled range box. Was in Lowes, they had a three piece wheeled Craftsman tool box on sale. Went home and googled all brands. Not much difference than others costing much more. Got my veterans discount. Put a hitch on the back of my mobility scooter's seat and I'm styling!!!

Last time in Home Depot the clerk asked me. I was honorably discharged
in 1960 after 4 active and 4 reserves. They gave me the discount.

I was honorably discharged, but not "retired". I served two years in the Army. I recently applied for, and received a card from the VA stating that I am a veteran. The card is accepted at both Lowe's and Home Depot.
I was US, not RA. Some may know what that is. [emoji6]

In Florida, there is a designator you can have added to your drivers license...which I haven’t done yet, I was going to wait for my renewal next year. So I have a picture of my long form DD-214 on my phone, which I showed to a Lowe’s manager and she entered me in the system and now I just give them my phone number and voila! I think it’s funny that there’s a little dialog box that pops up and says: “Please read to customer: Thank you for your service.”

Virginia DMV will add "veteran" to your driver's license if you presents your honorably discharged DD214.

Michigan too

Michigan initiated a Veteran indicator driver license a year or two ago. I went to my favorite small town bureau with DD214 in hand to renew early. Handy to have.
RA, US, NG, ER perfectly clear to me.
