Traded a model 64 for this one. We'll see what it looks like after the gunsmith gets done with it:

Oh, I love this game. Herewith my beloved .44HE 3rd transition with ringed, but not bulging, barrel and refurbished, but matching, wooden shoes. Story goes it was a SE TX or LA lawgun back in the day. Letters to J. S. Oshman (sporting goods) in Houston, July 1946. It came out of Lee's pile-o'-iron some years ago. Stock resto by DWFAN. Shoots like a champ...a grizzled champ.

Honest wear I find attractive....but if you want ugly, I can oblige. How about a nickel-over-heavy-pitting 1917.

This is also a perfect example of how photography can hide major defects...believe me, this revolver looks far worse in person.

I bought it for the grips. Both the ones that were on it, and the extra set that came with it...

EDIT: Due to all the unsolicited PM's with requests to buy the pre-war Magnas, I'm afraid I must post this here. I appreciate all the interest but I no longer own those grips...they were sold some years ago to finance my first pre-29.

Well everyone's probably tired of grandpa's 1917. If I'd known there would be an old & ugly thread, I'd have saved it.
