It seems my Big Boys thread got some interest, so let's turn to the compacts, single stack and double stack.


THE SINGLE STACKS

I only have two double stack compacts, and no group shot. (Would only two pistols even be a group shot?)

Yeah, I know.

The twenty rounds were shot from two 10rd magazines. As I've always noted on this forum, I have found that the wide rearend 6900 series pistols are more difficult to shoot than mid sized double stack service pistols, single stack compacts or full size single stacks (i.e., the Big Boys). IIRC, after the seventh round of each magazine, I would get excited about the group forming and lose just a tad of concentration. You see the result when round eight strayed.

I always shoot my groups standing and usually without lowering the pistol during a magazine. However, after strays like those, I would move my finger from the tigger guard to the side of the frame, lower the pistol and discuss my break in concentration with myself. Something along the lines of, "You DUMMY! You know you need to pay attention when you shoot this damn thing! Now get your mind right!" I would then return to action and shoot the last two rounds of that magazine. As you might imagine, the language of the discussion with myself during the second magazine was little more colorful.
