In late 2007 and early 2008, I acquired a Model 38 shipped in March 1973 and Model 60 shipped in January 1980. I tried a couple of different grips, but I didn't care for them. Then I got some Tyler T-Grips and loved the look and feel. As a bonus, they made for some very accurate and fast shooting.

As many of you know, Tyler stopped electrolytic etching of their logo/name on the grips some years ago. I had new un-etched T-Grips on my little J Frames, but after seeing some photos on this forum, I thought the etched T-Grips added a little something on the older revolvers. I had seen some used ones for sale, but there were in poor shape. I wished I could find some "new-from-old-stock" T-Grips.

Well, last December my brother and I went to the big gun show in Phoenix, Arizona. And there, at a table overseen by a nice older lady, were a number of little Tyler T-Grip boxes (the way they use to come). They were new and cost me a little less than those in current production. I finally got around to putting them on the revolvers this morning. I think they add a little something to my J's . . .

The two J's with current production T-Grips:

Ah, little boxes . . .

Now it looks as good as it shoots . . .

I like the contrast on my little black beauty. I think it shows off the etching even more . . .

I looked up "Classic Stainless Revolver" in the dictionary and your Mod 60 was the definition!

Cool revos that look right.

Very nice guns. Love that Bodyguard (Terry's too), though I think the Tylers look better on the Stainles Chiefs', if only, on a shiny-on-shiny basis.
And I agree. I like the "etching" better too.
Great buys. Congrats.

I think the T-grips give you more to hang on to without sacrificing concealability. I like them used in conjunction with the Barami Hip-grips.

Here's my 649 and 640:

And here's my new 442:

These Tyler's were originally black. I carefully sanded, steel wooled and polished them. The black still shows in the lettering. I think they look good.

Hey Cocked & Locked,
Your 60-1 looks like there have adjustable sights. Thought it was a 63 .22. Hard to tell with it in the holster, or maybe the background leaves?

I noticed that, too. With a magnifying glass, you can see the screw in the sight. It isn't leaves.

Here is 34-1 I think. Got it used about 1984. Have had various grips on it, but these Tyler T Grips are the best and take up the least room.
Please excuse the Brand X in the picture, but that is how the pic was taken!

Here's my 1 J frame, just picked up the T grip for like 5.00. There is a spot of the black missing near the bottom on the right side but I plan on buffing the black off.

As you can see it really helps me hang on to the little feller!
