I think the NRA does good work on our behalf much of the time but I don't feel they use the right messenger when trying to get their messages across. They need to be a little more PR conscious and use a spokesman with a bit more charisma and likeability.

Said better than I would. I usually resort to " LaPierre needs to go."

That is EXACTLY what I think. Wayne is a straightforward kind of guy that preaches common sense. A lot of us appreciate that, but the anti gunners don't want (refuse) to hear it. He is easily goaded by these far left news people into an almost rage at their ridiculous comments. We need another Heston, but the mold was broken.

Funny I thought the same thing. It is tough to watch him in an interview. I like his motives, but he is usually interviewed by some 'anti' and he sometimes misses answering a leading question properly.

The one brief interview I [feebly] recall off the top of my head:
Int - "But why are you concerned with carrying a gun outside you home, you travel with armed guards, don't you?"
WLP - "Well, yes, but that is not what's important."

It became awkward and defensive after that. Yeah, his traveling with armed guards was not important to the interview, and he never seemed to take control of the interview after that.

Why is he going on this show? Are they having the Executive Vice President of the Tupperware Co. on their, too? How about the CEO of the Acme Spatula Co.? When a schitzoid overmedicated nut that has been ignored by everyone goes crazy, why does the NRA have to explain ourselves? I'd rather see someone grilled on there who advocates pumping our kids full of anti-depresents every day than the NRA.

Not agreeing or disagreeing just making a comment.....it's not the anti-gun people that need to be persuaded (their minds are closed). It's the undecided, middle of the road folks that need to be addressed.
